October 2022, at Long sands beach & york Harbor

A short flight on a foggy fall day one weekend in Maine, Long Sand's Beach is a popular vacation spot in Cape Neddick, a quintessentially "New England" borough of the town of York. The fall season in Maine can be described as ranging from anywhere between: endlessly warm blue skies that reveal vibrant reds and oranges in the leaves of trees, to pea-soup gray of the morning and evening air, obscuring the remaining yellows and browns of leaves that have thus far withstood the seasons progressively cooling nights. Some even say both these extremes can be experienced in one day!
A common saying in New England is that "If you don't like the weather, wait an hour". With that being said, I'm waiting for the next clear day to get some flight time!
